With SKF mounting accessories, separate the parts that locate a bearing from those that lock it in place or help during installation. Adapter sleeves, withdrawal sleeves and hydraulic sleeves each have their own line; lock nuts, lock washers and plain bushings are identified on their own. The category groups these part numbers, but they are not a single set that fits every shaft.
Most requests start from an assembly already in service. Write down the sleeve part number along with the bearing part number, and note the shaft size. A hydraulic nut and a lock nut do different jobs, even if both show up during mounting. In the same way, a plain bushing is not chosen as though it were the sleeve that goes with a bearing.
For a quote, put together a list of components with the full part number, quantity and position of each. Include photos of the threads and seating surfaces, and a drawing if you have one. If a part number carries an inch size, keep it as written and add your own measurements next to it. Reading part numbers in the context of the assembly keeps the details that separate accessories that look alike.
