Industrial sheaves and pulleys

Three pieces of information define a V-belt sheave: groove section, number of grooves and diameter. Give us those three, with the belt already on the drive, and you can request a quote. Sheaves carry motion from the motor to the driven machine and let you change speed through the ratio between diameters. They turn fans, pumps, compressors, mills and conveyors.

EMMAR is our own brand: we manufacture EMMAR sheaves in-house from 1 to 18 grooves, plus custom sheaves manufactured to your drawings. If your sheave does not appear in any catalog, we make it from a drawing or reproduce it from the original part. EMMAR part numbers such as POLEA 50 1A, POLEA 60 2A and POLEA 60 3A state the size, the number of grooves and the section letter.

We also supply SKF and Dodge sheaves and pulleys, ordered by part number. SKF part numbers such as PHP 10-3V1060-E include the belt profile in the designation, while Dodge part numbers such as 8MX-32-12-IDL or F14MX-180S-37-3020 belong to timing pulleys and other profiles. Always match the sheave to the belt profile: the wrong section slips, wears the groove and shortens the life of both belt and sheave.

A sheave is seldom enough by itself. It mounts with a taper bushing so it goes on and comes off the shaft without a puller or heat, and we can quote the rest of the drive (belts, chains, sprockets) in the same request.
