Replacing a banded V-belt starts with the marking on the old belt. This page covers the Gates 5VX 750 PowerBand from the Quad-Power 4 series, a banded V-belt with a 1905 mm length. Use the steps below to confirm it matches the belt you are removing.
Read the back of the belt being replaced. The part number, series and length are printed there, and they are what you match against. For this belt, confirm the marking shows the 5VX 750 PowerBand designation and the 1905 mm length. If the old belt is worn or the print is gone, measure the outside length and note the profile before you request a quote.
A banded V-belt ties multiple V-belts together with a top cover, so it runs as one unit on a multi-groove drive. That construction keeps the belts from turning over or whipping where single belts would. When you replace a banded belt, fit the complete banded assembly; do not substitute loose single belts in its place. Check the sheave grooves for wear and the drive for alignment while the belt is off.
We carry the Gates 5VX 750 PowerBand and can help confirm it is the right belt for your drive. Send the part number from the old belt, the belt marking, or the length and profile you measured. Our team replies by WhatsApp or email and can suggest an equivalent when the exact belt is not what you need.

Frequently asked questions
- How do I confirm the Gates 5VX 750 PowerBand matches my old belt?
- Compare the marking on the back of the old belt with this belt's part number, series and 1905 mm length. If the marking is unreadable, measure the outside length and note the profile, then send those details for a quote.
- Can I replace a banded belt with single V-belts?
- No. A banded V-belt is built as one unit with a common top cover and should be replaced as a complete banded assembly. Loose single belts can turn over or whip on the drive.
- What should I send to request a quote?
- Send the part number from the old belt, or the belt marking, length and profile. You can reach us by WhatsApp or email, and we will confirm the belt or suggest an equivalent.
