The DBH 9095 is a radial shaft seal that keeps lubricant in and contaminants out where a rotating shaft exits a housing. Its size is 30 mm shaft, 40 mm bore and 10 mm width, and it uses the Lx design. MR Industrial Accessories supplies this seal as part of its seals and oil seals range.

With a 30 mm shaft, 40 mm housing and 10 mm height, the DBH 9095 fits common rotating equipment. The Lx design means the sealing lip runs against the shaft while the outer body stays fixed in the housing. An internal spring keeps the lip in contact, and the elastomer and body materials handle typical industrial oils and greases.

You will find this seal in pumps, electric motors, gearboxes, mixers, compressors and machine tools, as well as in power transmission and process equipment where oil loss or ingress of dust, water or particles must be avoided. Because it is a wear part, a lip that hardens or loses elasticity will start to leak.

Before ordering, confirm the shaft is 30 mm, the housing is 40 mm and the depth can take the 10 mm width. The shaft sealing area should be ground and free of grooves or burrs; the housing must be clean and deburred. Lubricate the lip at installation and avoid damaging or flipping it. If the shaft is worn, a wear sleeve or repair sleeve may be needed to give the lip a proper surface.
