In an angular contact bearing, the balls meet the raceways at an angle, so the bearing handles radial and axial loads together, with thrust in one direction. For thrust both ways, the bearings are mounted in pairs or preloaded. Selection is based on the combined load, speed, required stiffness and precision class: higher for spindles, lower for general duty.

Series 70, 72 and 73 grow in section for the same bore, as with NTN 7000, 7200 and 7300. From 04 up, the last two digits times 5 give the bore: SKF 7028 BGM is 140 mm. Size codes 00 and 03 mean 10 mm and 17 mm bores, as in NSK 7003 A. The letter gives the contact angle, usually B for 40° (NTN 7200B, NSK 7203 B) and A for 30° (7203 A). SKF appends letters, as in 7200 BEP or 7201 BECBP, to define internal design, cage and pairing.

Typical uses include machine tool spindles, milling heads, electric motors, pumps, compressors and gearboxes that need axial stiffness and accurate rotation. When you order, tell us whether the bearing runs alone or in a pair and, if paired, which arrangement.

Brands we carry for angular contact bearings: NTN, SKF, FAG, NSK and TIMKEN. Send the complete part number with every suffix by WhatsApp or email. Without it, give us the shaft diameter, outside diameter, width and contact angle. We'll cross-reference it between brands and quote promptly.

Dimensions and tolerances: Message us the part number on WhatsApp and we'll verify its dimensions and version with the manufacturer's datasheet.
