A lock nut threads onto a shaft or sleeve to hold a bearing or other component in position axially. It is a precision part. The slots around it take a hook or pin wrench for tightening, and then, depending on the series, a lock washer or another device locks it so vibration cannot back it off.

Part numbers give series and size. In KM0, KM1 and KM2 (BGL), AN 15 and AN 16 (SKF), AN44 (NTN), AN 02 (NSK) or HM3144 (Timken), the number is a size code tied to the thread, not to the shaft diameter. The KM and HM series use fine-pitch metric threads and pair with adapter sleeves, and in part numbers with a slash, such as HM30/1000 (FAG), the digits after the slash complete the size. That is why we need the complete part number to quote.

To choose one, define the thread diameter and pitch, the series that fits the bearing or sleeve, the wrench you will tighten it with and the locking method. Lock nuts show up in machine tools, pumps, fans, belt conveyors and gearboxes, nearly always alongside adapter or withdrawal sleeves and the matching washer.

We carry BGL, SKF, Timken, FAG, NTN and NSK in this line. For a quote, send the complete part number via WhatsApp, or the thread (diameter and pitch), the bearing or sleeve it goes on and whether you also need a lock washer. Switching from another brand? Send the designation and we will give you the equivalent.

Dimensions and tolerances: Message us the part number on WhatsApp and we'll verify its dimensions and version with the manufacturer's datasheet.
