The Optibelt B 78 KB is a banded V-belt with a length of 2057 mm. It is the correct choice when you need to replace a belt of this exact part number on a multi-groove drive. Confirm the marking on your old belt before ordering.
To match this belt, read the full part number printed on the back of the belt you are removing. The B 78 KB marking identifies the profile and the length. If the old belt is worn or dirty, clean the area first so you can read every character. Compare it to the Optibelt B 78 KB listed here.
A banded V-belt ties multiple V-belts together with a common backing. This construction keeps the belts from turning over or jumping out of the pulley grooves. It is used where several V-belts run side by side on the same drive. The 2057 mm length is the datum length for this belt.
When you replace a banded belt, inspect the pulley grooves for wear, rust or debris. Worn grooves can damage a new belt quickly. Also check the sheave alignment and the condition of the tensioner. If you are unsure whether this is the right belt for your drive, send the part number and a photo of the old belt to our team.
