A 38-tooth simplex sprocket disc with 1/2" pitch, supplied in SAE 1045 steel. Because it comes without a hub, the disc can be mounted straight onto the shaft or onto an adapter hub, which keeps drive assembly and replacement straightforward. The part number is MR-DISCO-1-2-Z38.

The code tells you most of what you need: a 1/2" chain pitch and a Z38 tooth count. The disc has no hub, so it seats on the shaft or on an adapter bushing and is secured with a key or set screws according to the machine design. SAE 1045 steel is a medium-carbon grade that can be hardened at the teeth when the application calls for better wear resistance.

Typical installations are chain drives on conveyors, elevators, mixers, drag systems and roller drives, as well as food-processing and material-handling equipment. With 38 teeth in the 1/2" pitch series, it sits in the middle of the range and works well for moderate transmission ratios.
