The Gates SPBP 5000 PowerBand is a banded V-belt with a 5000 mm length. This page is for maintenance and purchasing teams who need to confirm it matches the belt being replaced before requesting a quote.
Start with the marking on the old belt. A banded V-belt is replaced by matching the part number, the profile and the length. The SPBP 5000 PowerBand carries a 5000 mm length, so compare that figure with the number on the back of the belt you are removing. If the existing belt is worn or the marking is unreadable, measure the outside length and note the profile before you send the request.
A banded V-belt ties several V-belts together with a top cover, which keeps them running as one unit on a multi-groove drive. When you replace it, inspect the sheaves for wear and check that the ribs sit correctly in the grooves. Because the belt runs as a set, a single damaged rib means the whole belt comes off.
Send the part number, the profile, the 5000 mm length and a photo of the old belt marking by WhatsApp or email. Our team can confirm the belt or suggest an equivalent. We carry Gates belts and serve customers across the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America.
