When replacing a banded V-belt, matching the part number and length to the belt on the drive is the surest way to get the right fit. This page covers the Gates 5VX 1180 PowerBand from the Quad-Power 4 series, a banded V-belt with a length of 2995 mm.
Start by reading the marking on the back of the belt you are replacing. The Gates 5VX 1180 PowerBand identification and the 2995 mm length are the details to compare. If the old belt is worn or the marking is unreadable, measure the outside length and note the profile before you order.
This belt is a banded V-belt, so it ties multiple V-belt strands together with a common backing. That construction suits drives where single belts would whip, turn over or run at different tensions. Confirm the sheave grooves are clean and aligned, and check that the banded belt seats correctly before tensioning.
We carry the Gates 5VX 1180 PowerBand and can help you confirm it against the belt on your drive. Send the part number, the length and a photo of the old belt's marking by WhatsApp or email, and our team will reply promptly with a quote.
