A DODGE SCEZ PSS Y-bearing is a mounted pillow block that pairs a cast iron housing with an insert ball bearing. It carries rotating shafts where straightforward alignment and fixing are enough. MR Industrial Accessories supplies this DODGE line and helps buyers match the code to the application.

Read the code in sections. The letter P stands for pillow block, B covers the mounting style, SCEZ names the insert bearing family together with its sealing and fixing arrangement, and PSS identifies the sealing system. In a reference such as P2B-SCUEZ-104S-PSS, the middle figure gives the shaft diameter in inches under Dodge nomenclature, while the S and PSS suffixes mark sealing and protection variants. Comparing several references in the series makes each block easier to decode.

Typical duty includes belt conveyors, bucket elevators, mixers, mills, centrifugal pumps and industrial fans, in sectors such as food processing, cement, mining, chemical and agriculture. The pillow block shape mounts on steel structures or concrete bases through two holes, which keeps installation and replacement simple. Units in this series generally run under moderate loads at medium speeds.

Choosing a housing comes down to shaft diameter, whether the load is radial, axial or combined, and the surrounding conditions. The PSS seal resists dust and moisture, so it suits tougher environments. Confirm that housings are aligned and check the internal clearance of the bearing, since misalignment speeds up wear. Use the lubricant the manufacturer specifies and renew it on the maintenance schedule. During mounting, keep the shaft clean and free of burrs and tighten the fixing screws correctly.

When replacing a mounted bearing from another brand, interchangeability hinges on housing dimensions and shaft diameter. This DODGE series commonly crosses over to other Y-bearing lines, yet mounting dimensions and center height should always be confirmed first. MR Industrial Accessories helps you locate a suitable equivalent without hurting equipment performance.
