Reading the size callout is straightforward: shaft 40 mm, housing 62 mm, width 11.50 mm. The Lz version adds an exclusion lip behind the main sealing lip, which helps retain oil or grease while pushing dust, fine chips and splashes away from the sealing edge. The outer case is metal and the lip is an oil-resistant elastomer. It drops into standard 62 mm bores machined for a 40 mm shaft.

Typical mounting points include gearboxes, centrifugal pumps, electric motors, drive shafts and process machinery.
