The DBH 5065 is a radial shaft seal that fits into a housing and seals against a rotating shaft, keeping lubricant in and contaminants out. With a 38 mm shaft diameter, 62 mm housing diameter and 10 mm height, it is sized for medium-duty transmission and rotating equipment. Typical applications include pumps, electric motors, gearboxes and rollers.

This seal uses an Lz design, which combines a sealing lip with a metal outer case. The Lz designation indicates the lip profile and housing style, so before installation, confirm that the housing and shaft meet the required tolerances and surface finish for this seal type.

Verify that the internal spring is correctly positioned and that the shaft contact area is not worn. If a deep groove is present, consider a repair sleeve.
