The Dayco BB 68 is a double-V (hexagonal) belt in the BB profile with a length of 1803.4 mm. It is built for drives that need power transmitted from both sides of the belt. Before you fit a new belt, inspect the drive and sheaves so the replacement runs true.

Start by locking out the drive and checking sheave grooves for wear, rust, or embedded debris. Worn grooves let a new double-V belt sit too deep, which leads to slip and heat. Check sheave alignment with a straightedge or laser, and confirm the sheaves are not misaligned or cocked on the shaft. Also inspect the bearings and shaft for play, because movement here will shorten belt life.
