The 10-C2 is a double-strand roller chain built to the European BS standard, with a 5/8" (15.875 mm) pitch. It connects parallel shafts in drives that need more capacity than a single-strand chain of the same series can provide. Because it wears in service, it is replaced along with the sprockets once elongation goes past the allowed limit. Elongation is checked by measuring across several pitches.
