A split pillow block housing is a two-piece cast iron housing. The base stays bolted to the structure while the cap comes off, so you can install or remove the bearing without pulling the shaft or moving the machine. A solid base gives the assembly rigid support on the structure, which counts when the equipment runs with vibration or heavy loads.
SKF part numbers here pair a series with a block of digits: SSNHD 510-608, SSNLD 520-617/MS1 or SSED 513-611/MS1. The letters give the housing series, the digits give the housing size and the bearings it takes, and whatever follows the slash, such as /MS1 or /MS2, marks an execution variant. Two part numbers that share a base number can still differ in that suffix, which is why we quote the complete part number.
Selection depends on the bearing it will hold, the shaft diameter, how it mounts to the base, the environment (dust, moisture, washdown) and the sealing you need. Conveyors, mills, pumps, fans, mixers and line shafts use them wherever cutting downtime during a bearing change pays off directly.
We carry SKF in this line. Send the part number stamped on the housing via WhatsApp for a quote; if you do not have it, send the shaft diameter, the bearing and a photo of the housing. We will quote it and, when needed, add the covers and accessories that complete the assembly.
Dimensions and tolerances: Message us the part number on WhatsApp and we'll verify its dimensions and version with the manufacturer's datasheet.
