The Stark B 78 is a classical V-belt with a B profile, a 17 mm top width, an 11 mm height and a 40° angle. It is one of the sizes we carry for industrial drives. When you need to replace a belt, matching the marking on the old belt is the first step.

To match this belt to the one you are replacing, find the code on the back of the old belt. If it reads B 78, this Stark belt meets the same profile and length. The B profile is defined by the 17 mm top width and 11 mm height; the 40° angle is the included angle of the V. These dimensions let the belt sit correctly in a B-section pulley groove.

If the old belt is worn, oiled or stretched, the marking may be hard to read. In that case, measure the top width and height with a caliper and compare to the values above. Also check the pulley groove: a B-section pulley should accept a belt with a 17 mm top width. If the groove is wider or narrower, confirm the profile before ordering.
