Description
SKF PHE 1050TGS-SHRSB belongs to coupling, part of our Power transmission range. Tell us how many you need by WhatsApp or email and we'll get back to you promptly with a quote for PHE 1050TGS-SHRSB and any equivalents.
The SKF PHE TGS-SHRSB coupling connects shafts and compensates misalignment in industrial drive systems. It handles torque transfer while damping vibration and shock, which makes it suitable for pumps, fans, conveyors, mixers, compressors and machine tools. MR Industrial Accessories LLC supplies this coupling line to maintenance and purchasing teams in the United States and several Latin American countries.
Reading the code helps you match the coupling to the application. PHE marks the SKF coupling family. The four digits that follow give the size or torque capacity, as seen in PHE 1030TGS-SHRSB, PHE 1040TGS-SHRSB and PHE 1050TGS-SHRSB. TGS covers design details such as the flexible element type or the fastening method, while SHRSB points to hub or sealing variants. Confirm the exact configuration on the data sheet before ordering.
Selection depends on the torque the drive requires, the operating speed and the shaft diameter. Also identify the misalignment to absorb: angular, radial or axial. Environmental conditions matter, and if the coupling needs lubrication, include it in the maintenance plan. Precise alignment at installation and correct sealing and clearance between components support longer service life and reduce wear.
These couplings appear in food, chemical, petrochemical, cement and power generation plants. Typical equipment includes centrifugal pumps, compressors, fans, mixers and belt or chain conveyors, wherever motion must pass between shafts with some misalignment. Their capacity to absorb vibration and shock suits demanding areas where uptime is critical.
Interchangeability with couplings from other recognized brands is possible when critical dimensions, torque and service conditions match. Small differences in design or material can affect performance, so verify the specifications and involve a specialist before substituting a component. Our team can review your application data and suggest equivalents.

Frequently asked questions
- What does the PHE TGS-SHRSB designation mean?
- PHE identifies the SKF coupling category. The following digits indicate size and torque capacity. TGS and SHRSB are suffixes for design features such as the flexible element type or the fastening system. Check the data sheet for precise details.
- Can this coupling replace one from another brand?
- It may be compatible if dimensions, torque and service conditions match. Always verify specifications and consult a specialist before replacing, to avoid failures from differences in design or material.
- How do I choose the correct coupling size?
- Consider required torque, operating speed, shaft diameter and the type of misalignment to compensate. Also evaluate environmental conditions and lubrication. Our technical team can advise you with your application data.
