The SEALMASTER SLS 100 series insert bearing is a single-row bearing with an extended inner ring, made to sit in split plummer block housings and mounted units. It supports a rotating shaft with simple alignment and axial fixing, either by set screws or a collar. This insert is a common replacement item in power transmission, conveying and process equipment, and it is chosen by shaft diameter and by the housing in which it is seated.

Reading the code starts with the number after the hyphen, which gives the shaft diameter the insert fits. In the examples SLS-108, SLS-110, SLS-112, SLS-114, SLS-115, SLS-116, SLS-118 and SLS-119, each code stands for a different shaft size in the same family. The SLS prefix tells you the insert type; the numeric suffix tells you the size. For a replacement, the full code is what matters.

You will find these inserts on belt and roller conveyors, mixers, mills, bucket elevators, industrial washers and process equipment in food, chemical and aggregate plants. Because the housing that holds them is normally bolted to the structure, the insert is the part that gets changed when play, noise or lubricant loss shows up.

Selection begins with the shaft diameter and the housing: the housing must accept the SLS 100 series. Look at the seal as well, since it keeps lubricant in and dust and water out. When fitting the insert, do not strike the outer ring; press it into place, tighten the set screws onto the shaft and check housing alignment before start-up. Correct lubrication and alignment help the assembly last.

For equivalences, insert bearings are compared between brands by shaft size, fixing method and seal arrangement, not by the commercial code. An insert from another brand with the same size and fixing may interchange, but check the inner ring width and the seal type. If the equipment uses a housing from another line, MR Industrial Accessories can name the alternative that matches the code on the part.

To replace an SLS 100 insert, send the complete code from the bearing, or the shaft diameter and housing type, by WhatsApp or email. We will quote it, and if you need a variant not listed, send the model and we will point you to the corresponding option.

Frequently asked questions

How do I identify the size of the SLS insert I need?
The number after the hyphen in the code indicates the shaft diameter: SLS-108, SLS-110, SLS-112 and the other examples correspond to different sizes. If the code is not visible, measure the shaft with a caliper and send that measurement along with the housing type.
Can an insert from another brand replace a SEALMASTER SLS one?
Yes, if the shaft diameter, fixing method and seal arrangement match. Interchangeability is defined by those characteristics, not by the commercial code. Send us the code of the original part and we will tell you the compatible alternative.
What should I check before mounting an insert bearing?
Make sure the housing seat is clean and free of burrs, the shaft is not worn in the set screw area and the seal is in good condition. Tighten the set screws with the correct wrench and check alignment before starting the equipment.
