Description
SEALMASTER RUBRS-108 belongs to insert bearing, part of our Bearings range. Tell us how many you need by WhatsApp or email and we'll get back to you promptly with a quote for RUBRS-108 and any equivalents.
The SealMaster RUBRS 100 insert bearing is a single-row unit with a spherical outer ring, made to sit inside split and pillow block housings. Because that outer surface is curved, the insert tolerates slight shaft misalignment against the housing, which is typical of machinery bolted to steel structures. It fits power transmission, material handling and process equipment where straightforward mounting and dependable sealing count for more than the accuracy of a line bearing.
Read the code in two parts. RUBRS marks the family of inserts with a spherical outer ring and reinforced sealing. The number that comes after it, as in RUBRS-108, RUBRS-110, RUBRS-112, RUBRS-115 and RUBRS-116, sets the insert size inside the RUBRS 100 series. A higher number means a larger bore and a higher load capacity, so two inserts from the same series can differ in dimensions and in the housing they fit. Always quote with the complete part number.
These inserts turn up in belt and chain conveyors, bucket elevators, mixers, mills, packaging lines, and chemical or food plant equipment. You will also find them in agricultural machinery and in washing or sorting lines, where dust, humidity or regular washdowns are part of the daily routine. Since the insert is interchangeable, the bearing can be swapped out while the housing stays in place, which shortens downtime on continuous production equipment.
Three points drive the selection: shaft diameter and tolerance, the sealing the environment calls for, and the internal clearance the working temperature requires. RUBRS sealing is built to hold grease in and keep contaminants out; in wet or fine-dust areas, inspect the lip condition before mounting. Use a grease that is compatible with the factory fill and never mix different bases. When mounting, seat the outer ring in the housing without striking the raceway.
Interchange between brands works on dimensions and insert type, not on the commercial part number. A RUBRS 100 may have a match in another line of spherical outer ring inserts, as long as the bore diameter, width, outer ring radius and shaft fixing system line up. When the original number is not what you need, we point you to the compatible option by comparing measurements rather than names.
Send the insert or housing part number by WhatsApp or email and our team will quote it promptly. If you are after a variant of the RUBRS 100 series that is not on your list, we can also review the equivalent. A shaft size and a photo of the mounting are usually enough to close the inquiry.

Frequently asked questions
- What does RUBRS indicate on an insert bearing?
- RUBRS is the SealMaster line of inserts with a spherical outer ring and reinforced sealing. The number after it, such as RUBRS-110, is the size within the RUBRS 100 series and sets the bore diameter and the capacity of the unit.
- Can a RUBRS insert be replaced by one from another brand?
- Yes, if the dimensions match: bore diameter and tolerance, overall width, outer ring radius and fixing system. Equivalence is settled by dimensions, not by the part number. Send the measurements or the part number and we will point you to the compatible alternative.
- How is a RUBRS 100 insert bearing lubricated?
- With grease compatible with the factory fill, and without mixing different bases. On mountings that see high temperature or frequent washdowns, check the sealing and renew the grease at each scheduled equipment shutdown.
