This Optibelt VB S=C Plus belt is a classical V-belt with profile 8 and a length of 1250 mm. Before fitting it, inspect the drive and sheaves so the new belt runs true and wears evenly.
Check sheave grooves for wear, rust, or embedded debris. Worn grooves let the belt sit too deep, which leads to slip and heat. Misalignment between sheaves also shortens belt life; correct it before installation.
Verify that the sheaves are clean and free of burrs. Confirm the belt marking 8 x 1250 Li matches the drive specification. When replacing a belt on a multi-belt drive, fit a full set of new belts so load is shared equally.
After installation, recheck tension and alignment. A short run-in period helps seat the belt. Then re-tension if needed. This routine protects the drive and supports reliable operation.
