The Optibelt 3VX 475 KB is a banded V-belt in the KBX series with a length of 1206 mm. Before fitting a new belt, inspect the drive and sheaves for wear, misalignment, or damage.
Check sheave grooves for wear, cracks, or embedded debris. Worn sheaves can shorten belt life and cause slippage. Verify that all sheaves are aligned and securely mounted.
Confirm the drive is locked out and tension is released before removing the old belt. Inspect the new Optibelt 3VX 475 KB for any damage and ensure the part number matches. Install the belt without prying it over the sheave flanges.
After installation, tension the belt according to the drive manufacturer's specifications. Run the drive briefly and recheck tension. Keep the drive area clean and free of oil or debris.
