Description

The Optibelt 3-A 1450 is a banded V-belt from the KB VB series, supplied in a 1450 mm length. Before fitting a replacement, inspect the drive and sheaves so the new belt seats and tracks correctly.
Check sheave grooves for wear, rust, or embedded debris. Worn or misaligned sheaves can damage a new banded V-belt quickly, so confirm grooves are clean and matched to the belt profile. Verify that shafts are parallel and sheaves are aligned; misalignment is a common cause of edge wear and premature failure.
Inspect the drive for correct tensioning and any damaged components. Confirm the take-up has enough adjustment to tension the 1450 mm belt properly. Look for worn bearings, bent shafts, or loose mounts that could affect belt tracking. If the old belt failed early, address the root cause before installing the Optibelt 3-A 1450.
