The Optibelt 25 AT5 / 4800 AFX is an AT5 profile timing belt with a 4800 mm length and a 5 mm pitch. Before you fit it, inspect the drive and the sheaves so the new belt runs true from the first start.
Check the sheaves for worn grooves, burrs, rust or buildup that can damage the belt teeth. Confirm the sheave profile matches the AT5 profile and that the teeth are clean and undamaged. Misaligned or worn sheaves will shorten the life of any timing belt, including this one.
Verify alignment between the driver and driven sheaves, and check that the shafts and bearings have no play. Set the correct tension according to the drive manufacturer's procedure. After the first run-in, recheck tension and alignment.
