The POLEA 400 2C is an EMMAR pulley built at our own facility for drives that run on section C V-belts. Its 400 mm diameter and two grooves let you set up a two-belt drive, so the load is shared across both belts. Fans, compressors, pumps and plant machinery are the usual homes for a pulley of this size, wherever a steady speed ratio and reliable grip matter. Because it is made in-house, machining and balancing options can be worked out on request.

Read the code first: 400 is the diameter in millimeters, 2 is the groove count, and C is the belt section. Those three values tell you which belts fit and how many can run side by side. The pulley is machined to sit on the equipment shaft, with bore and keyway cut for the job at hand. If the shaft diameter or bushing style is unclear, it gets checked against a drawing or a sample before anything is made.

A pulley this size shows up in medium and high-power belt drives: centrifugal fans, screw compressors, centrifugal pumps, screens, mixers and process lines. Running two section C belts in parallel keeps the drive going if one belt wears or breaks. Depending on the diameters of the driving and driven pulleys, the same unit can step speed up or down between the motor and the driven machine.

For selection and mounting, work from the power to be transmitted, the shaft rpm, the driving pulley diameter and the center distance. Groove count and section have to match the belts you plan to run. Before startup, look at pulley alignment, belt tension and the condition of the grooves. Even a small amount of misalignment speeds up wear on belts and on equipment bearings. If vibration shows up, balancing is worth evaluating.
