It is built for standard industrial drives where a wrapped classical belt is the specified replacement. Before you fit it, check the drive and sheaves so the new belt seats and runs as intended.

Start with the sheaves. Inspect the groove flanks for wear, scoring, corrosion or a polished step where the old belt sat. A worn groove lets the belt sink too deep and slip, so measure the groove and confirm the belt sits at the correct height. Check both sheaves for alignment with a straightedge across the faces, and confirm the shafts are parallel and the sheave is tight on its shaft. Worn or misaligned sheaves shorten the life of any replacement belt.
