Description
GUMMI VNDD 240 belongs to semi-flexible coupling, part of our Power transmission range. Tell us how many you need by WhatsApp or email and we'll get back to you promptly with a quote for VNDD 240 and any equivalents.
The Gummi VNDD is a jaw-type semi-elastic coupling that links two shafts while softening vibration and compensating for slight misalignment. Its construction combines an elastic insert supported by a steel ring with hubs fitted on both sides. Typical duty covers pumps, gearboxes, fans and similar driven machines. MR Industrial Accessories LLC supplies this line to customers across the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America.
Power travels from the hub on the driving shaft into the elastic element and then out through the hub on the driven shaft. The steel ring keeps that elastic element in place. Model codes follow a simple pattern: the line letters plus the size, as in VNDD 170, VNDD 200, VNDD 240 and the sizes above them. Every product page lists the maximum torque, maximum speed, outer diameter, overall length and the shaft diameter range each size accepts.
These couplings sit between a motor or gearbox shaft and the shaft of the machine being driven. You will find them on centrifugal pumps, fans, blowers, conveyor belts, mixers and process equipment, including food, chemical, paper and water treatment plants. The elastic element takes the edge off startup and torque peaks and absorbs small shaft misalignment.
Sizing starts with the torque the machine transmits, adjusted by a service factor that reflects the load type and the working hours. Check the diameter of each shaft next, since it has to fall inside the range the hub accepts. Working rpm matters too, because each size carries its own maximum speed. At assembly, bring the shafts into line with a straightedge or dial indicator before tightening, and inspect the elastic element periodically for wear.
For a quote, send the model or part number, for example VNDD 170 or VNDD 300, along with the diameter of both shafts and the power and rpm of the motor and the driven machine. That information is enough for our team to point you to the right size. If all you have is a part number from another brand or an unidentified part, send it over and we will review it with you.

Frequently asked questions
- How do the VN, VND and VNDD lines differ?
- The VN pairs a jaw hub with a ring-carrier hub. The VND brings in one additional hub, and the VNDD carries additional hubs on both sides. All three are jaw semi-elastic couplings built around an elastic element and a steel ring.
- What do I need to pick a VNDD size?
- The machine torque with its service factor, the diameter of both shafts and the working rpm. Those three points define the model. Send them on WhatsApp and we will help you select it.
- Which details should I include when requesting a VNDD quote?
- The model or part number, the diameter of both shafts, and the power and rpm of the motor and the driven machine. With that we can quote the coupling that fits your application.
