Gummi M Line couplings are gear couplings that pair two toothed steel hubs with a double molded nylon sleeve. They transfer torque with high torsional rigidity and allow free axial movement, all without lubrication. These couplings suit compact drive arrangements where precise torque transmission and minimal upkeep matter.

In the M Line, the molded nylon sleeve engages the teeth of both steel hubs. This double-sleeve design keeps the shafts connected, permits axial float, and eliminates the need for grease or oil. The model code combines the line letter with a size number: M-14, M-19, M-24, M-28, M-32, M-38, M-42, and M-48. For each size, the product page lists nominal and maximum torque, minimum and maximum shaft diameter, overall length, and outer diameter.

Typical installations include pumps, fans, small compressors, conveyor belts, mixers, and general power transmission equipment. The M Line fits where space is tight and a direct drive is preferred. Because no lubrication is required, there is no need to monitor seals or schedule lubricant changes. Maintenance focuses on inspecting the nylon sleeve and the hub teeth periodically.

To select a size, first determine the torque the machine transmits, then apply a service factor based on load type and operating hours. Confirm that each shaft diameter falls within the minimum and maximum range for the chosen size, and that the speed is compatible with the coupling. During assembly, align the shafts as accurately as possible. The nylon sleeve can accommodate some misalignment, but poor alignment will reduce the service life of the coupling.
