Description
GUMMI BR-100 belongs to flexible coupling, part of our Power transmission range. Tell us how many you need by WhatsApp or email and we'll get back to you promptly with a quote for BR-100 and any equivalents.
For slow, heavy-duty drives, Gummi's BR Line flexible couplings transmit high torque while absorbing shaft misalignment. The flexible center requires no lubrication, keeping maintenance to a minimum. MR Industrial Accessories supplies the BR Line and helps you select the correct model for your application.
The BR Line is built for low-speed, high-torque service. A flexible center deforms to transfer motion between the two hubs without lubrication. The model code consists of the letters BR followed by a size number: BR-100, BR-110, BR-150, BR-160, BR-180, BR-220, BR-230, and BR-320. Each size has its own nominal torque, maximum bore, pilot hole, flexible center diameter, overall length, weight, and maximum speed.
These couplings are common in slow, heavy drives such as mills, conveyor belts, bucket elevators, mixers, positive displacement pumps, and equipment in cement, mining, paper, and aggregate processing. When a motor starts under load or torque spikes occur, the flexible center dampens the shock and protects both the gearbox and the driven equipment.
To select a model, begin with the machine torque and apply the service factor based on the load type and operating hours. Verify that each shaft diameter does not exceed the maximum bore of the hub, and that the working rpm remains below the coupling's maximum speed. Shaft alignment must be done carefully: the flexible element tolerates some misalignment, but poor alignment will shorten its life. No lubrication is needed during installation.
To request a quote, provide the model or coupling code, the diameters of both shafts, and the power and rpm of the motor and driven machine. With that information, we confirm the correct model and send you a quote. If you already have a code such as BR-100 or BR-150, or any other in the line, contact us via WhatsApp or email.
MR Industrial Accessories supplies the Gummi BR Line and assists customers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America. Our team can suggest equivalents and help you choose the right coupling for your torque and speed requirements. Send us the code or model you need, and we will respond promptly.

Frequently asked questions
- What does high-torque, low-rotation mean for a coupling?
- It means the coupling is designed for slow, heavy drives where torque is high and rpm is low. The flexible center transmits that load without lubrication and dampens torque spikes typical of mills, belts, and elevators.
- How do I choose the right BR model for my machine?
- Start with the machine torque, apply the service factor according to the load type and working hours, and check that each shaft diameter does not exceed the maximum bore of the hub. Also confirm that the working rpm is below the maximum speed of the coupling.
- What information do I need to request a quote for a BR coupling?
- Send the model or code, the diameter of both shafts, and the power and rpm of the motor and driven machine. With that data, we can quote the correct coupling for your application via WhatsApp or email.
