Description
GUMMI ASC-X 25 belongs to gear coupling, part of our Power transmission range. Tell us how many you need by WhatsApp or email and we'll get back to you promptly with a quote for ASC-X 25 and any equivalents.
The Gummi ASC-X is a metal gear coupling built around a continuous sleeve. Torque moves from one shaft to the other through internal gear teeth, with no elastic element in the drive path. It belongs to the Gummi AD Line and fits machines that call for torsional rigidity, the ability to carry heavy loads and some tolerance to shaft misalignment.
Two toothed hubs sit inside an outer sleeve that ties them together, and that sleeve is what gives the ASC-X its continuous form. Reading the code is straightforward: the line letters come first, then the size number. The range covers ASC-X 10, ASC-X 15, ASC-X 20, ASC-X 25, ASC-X 30, ASC-X 35 and ASC-X 40. Nominal torque and maximum speed differ from one size to the next and are shown on each model page.
Typical installations include rolling mills, pumps, fans, conveyor belts, mixers and process lines that run continuously. Steel, cement, paper and food plants use this style of coupling, as do mining and oilfield equipment. It is often chosen when the drive and driven shafts do not line up perfectly but a metal coupling is still preferred, since the gear mesh absorbs the offset while the drive stays rigid.
Sizing starts with the torque the machine produces and the service factor for that load type. Shaft diameters on both sides, rotation speed and allowable misalignment also come into the decision. During installation the shafts should be aligned as accurately as the setup permits, and the teeth lubricated where the design requires it. From then on, maintenance means inspecting the lubricant and watching the sleeve and hubs for wear.
For a quote, send the model or code along with the diameters of both shafts and the power and rpm of the motor and the driven machine. That is enough to confirm the right size in the AD Line. On a retrofit, the nameplate on the existing coupling or the machine drawing will also identify which size is needed.
The ASC-X is one of the Gummi couplings MR supplies. Send the code you need, whether that is ASC-X 10, ASC-X 15 or another size, by WhatsApp or email and the team will come back with a quote.

Frequently asked questions
- How does the ASC-X differ from other couplings in the AD Line?
- Within the Gummi AD Line, the ASC-X is the compact version with a continuous sleeve. Torque passes through heat-treated steel gears, as in the rest of the line, but the housing is built to fit where space is limited.
- What should I send with a quote request for an ASC-X?
- The model or code, the diameter of each shaft, and the power and rpm of both the motor and the driven machine. Those details let us confirm the correct size and reply on WhatsApp.
- What does maintenance on an ASC-X involve?
- Checking the gear teeth lubrication and the condition of the sleeve and hubs. Shaft alignment matters as well, so it is worth verifying at each maintenance stop.
