The GUMMI A-20 CI flexible coupling links two shafts while compensating for misalignment, vibration and torsional shock. Its integral hub (CI) design suits larger shaft diameters, with a maximum bore of 30 mm. You will find it on pumps, fans, conveyors, mixers and similar machines where transmission needs to stay smooth and dependable.

Model A-20 with the CI configuration belongs to the GUMMI Type A series. CI stands for integral hub: the elastic element and the hub are produced as one piece, so assembly is simpler and the component count is lower. The maximum bore is 30 mm, which covers larger shafts within this series. The designation appears in Table IV of the GUMMI Type A catalogue, aimed at applications with higher torque demands.

Centrifugal pumps, fans, blowers, belt conveyors, mixers and agitators are common installations. In each case the coupling takes up small angular and radial misalignment, reduces vibration and shields the machine's bearings and gears. The integral hub layout is particularly helpful where space is tight and maintenance should be kept to a minimum.

When selecting the coupling, review shaft diameter, torque, revolutions per minute and load type. The 30 mm maximum bore is a hard limit and must not be exceeded. Also consider operating temperature and any chemical exposure that could attack the elastomer. Align the shafts as accurately as you can during assembly to get the most service life from the elastic element.
