The Gates XPB 3750 PowerBand is a banded V-belt from the Quad-Power 4 PowerBand series, 3750 mm long. Before fitting it, inspect the drive and sheaves so the new belt runs true and wears evenly.

Check sheave grooves for wear, rust, or embedded debris, and confirm the sheaves are aligned and free of wobble. A worn or misaligned groove can quickly damage a new banded V-belt. Verify that the sheave groove profile matches the XPB profile and that the 3750 mm length fits the drive layout.

Inspect the rest of the drive: look for worn bearings, bent shafts, or damaged guards, and correct any issue before tensioning. On banded V-belts, all ribs share the load, so a single damaged groove can cause uneven tension across the band. Fit the belt without prying it over the sheave edge, then tension it according to the drive requirements and recheck after the first run-in period.
