The Gates Super HC SPB 1340 is a narrow wedge V-belt for industrial drives. It has an SPB profile, a 1340 mm length, a 16.3 mm top width, a 13 mm height and a 40° angle. Before you fit it, check the drive and sheaves.
A new belt will not correct a worn drive. Inspect sheave grooves for wear, burrs or debris that can cut the belt. Check sheave alignment with a straightedge or laser tool. Confirm the sheaves match the SPB profile and the 40° angle. If a sheave is worn, the belt may slip or wear quickly even when the length is correct.
