This page covers the Gates Micro-V PL 2997, a Poly-V (multi-rib) belt with a PL profile and a length of 2997 mm. Use it to match the belt you are replacing by reading the marking on the old belt and confirming profile and length.
To match the belt being replaced, read the marking on the back of the old belt. Confirm the profile is PL and the length is 2997 mm. The same size is also listed under Optibelt PL 2997.
If the marking is worn or unreadable, measure the old belt and note the PL profile and 2997 mm length. Send the part number and any photos to our team; we carry the Gates Micro-V PL 2997 and can help confirm the correct belt or suggest an equivalent.
For drives using multiple belts, replace them as a set and inspect the pulleys and tensioner at the same time. This helps maintain even load sharing and reduces the chance of premature failure.
