When a double-V belt needs replacing, start by reading the marking on the back of the old belt. This page covers the Gates BB 285 from the Hi-Power Dubl-V series, a double-V (hexagonal) belt with a BB profile and a length of 7315 mm.

The BB 285 is identified by its series, profile and length. Confirm that the belt you are removing carries the same BB profile and 7315 mm length before you request a quote. If the marking is worn or hard to read, send the part number you can see and we will help confirm the right belt or suggest an equivalent.

Double-V belts are used where a drive needs to turn in either direction or where multiple pulleys are driven from both sides of the belt. Inspect the pulleys and the rest of the drive when you replace the belt, and check that the new belt sits correctly in the grooves.

We carry the Gates BB 285 for maintenance, engineering and purchasing teams in the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America. Send the part number by WhatsApp or email and the team will reply promptly.
