Description
GATES B 62 PowerBand belongs to v-belt, part of our Power transmission range. Tell us how many you need by WhatsApp or email and we'll get back to you promptly with a quote for B 62 PowerBand and any equivalents.
The Gates B 62 PowerBand is a banded V-belt from the Hi-Power PowerBand series. It is the belt to specify when you are replacing a B-section banded V-belt on a drive that runs multiple belts together. The length is 1575 mm.
The most reliable way to match this belt is to read the marking on the back of the belt you are removing. The marking carries the part number, and a B 62 PowerBand replaces the same part number. Confirm the profile is B-section and the length is 1575 mm before ordering.
A banded V-belt ties the individual belts together with a top band, so the set stays in step on the sheaves. When you replace one, replace the full set on that drive. Mixing a new banded belt with worn belts changes how the load is shared and shortens the life of the new belt.
If the marking is worn or unreadable, measure the outside length of the belt and note the cross-section. Send the part number, the profile and the 1575 mm length, and we will confirm the B 62 PowerBand or suggest an equivalent.

Frequently asked questions
- How do I confirm this is the right belt?
- Read the marking on the back of the belt being replaced. If it shows B 62 PowerBand, this is the match. Check that the profile is B-section and the length is 1575 mm.
- Should I replace all the belts on the drive at once?
- Yes. A banded V-belt is built to run as a set. Replace all belts on the drive together so they share the load evenly.
- What do I send to get a quote?
- Send the part number B 62 PowerBand, the belt profile and the 1575 mm length by WhatsApp or email. If the marking is unreadable, send the outside length and cross-section.
