The Gates B 118 PowerBand is a banded V-belt in the Hi-Power PowerBand series, built for drives where multiple belts run as a set. Its 2997 mm length is the reference point for matching the belt to the drive.

Before fitting a new banded V-belt, inspect the drive. Check sheave grooves for wear, rust, or buildup that can change how the belt seats. Confirm that sheaves are aligned and that all grooves in the set are clean and in usable condition. A worn or misaligned sheave will shorten the life of any belt, including a new one.

The B 118 PowerBand is a banded V-belt with a 2997 mm length. Banded construction ties the belts together so they run as one unit, which is the reason these belts are used on drives with several grooves. When you replace a banded belt, fit the complete set and keep the sheaves matched to the belt profile and length.
