The Gates 966-14MX is a PowerGrip GTX timing belt with a 14MX profile and a 966 mm length. If you are replacing a belt on a synchronous drive, start by matching the profile and length to what is on the machine.
The most reliable way to match this belt is to read the marking on the back of the belt being replaced. Confirm the profile reads 14MX and the length reads 966 mm, then compare that to the 14 mm pitch listed for this belt. If the old belt is worn or the marking is gone, measure the length and check the tooth profile against the pulley grooves before ordering.
A 14MX profile belt will only run correctly on pulleys cut for that profile. Check the pulleys for worn teeth, debris in the grooves, and proper alignment while the belt is off. If the drive uses more than one belt, replace them as a set so the load stays evenly divided.
Send the part number 966-14MX by WhatsApp or email and our team will confirm it against your application. If you are unsure of the profile or length, send a photo of the belt marking and the pulley, and we will help identify the right belt or suggest an equivalent.
