Description
GATES 5M 545 JB belongs to v-belt, part of our Power transmission range. Tell us how many you need by WhatsApp or email and we'll get back to you promptly with a quote for 5M 545 JB and any equivalents.
The Gates 5M 545 JB is a Polyflex JB narrow V-belt with a listed length of 545 mm. Before you install a replacement, inspect the drive and sheaves for wear that could shorten belt life.
Check sheave grooves for wear, rust, or embedded debris. Worn grooves let the belt sit too deep, causing slip and heat. Misalignment between sheaves also accelerates edge wear. Correct these issues before fitting the new belt.
Confirm the replacement matches the removed belt: Polyflex JB profile and 545 mm length. Verify the part number on the old belt and compare it with 5M 545 JB. A belt that is too long or too short will not tension correctly.
After installation, recheck tension and alignment. Inspect the drive again after the first hours of running. This helps catch any remaining issues early.
