This page covers the Gates 3VX 1180 PowerBand belt from the Quad-Power 4 PowerBand series, a banded V-belt with a 2995 mm length. Before you fit it, take a few minutes to check the drive and sheaves. A worn or misaligned sheave will shorten the life of any new belt.
Inspect each sheave groove for wear, rust and debris. Check that the sheaves are aligned and that the grooves are not bottomed out, since a belt that rides on the groove floor will slip and overheat. Confirm the new belt sits correctly in the groove profile.
Measure the old belt to confirm the 2995 mm length, and look for the part number on the back of the belt. If you are replacing a set, replace all belts at the same time so the load is shared evenly. Send the part number and quantity by WhatsApp or email for a quote.
We carry the Gates 3VX 1180 PowerBand in the Quad-Power 4 PowerBand series. If you need help confirming this is the right belt for your drive, send us a photo of the old belt marking and the sheave details, and our team will reply promptly.
