The DODGE SCEZ is a pillow block mounted bearing that uses a ball insert to carry rotating shafts in power transmission systems. It suits conveyors, agitators, pumps, fans and general machinery where a sturdy, straightforward-to-install unit is needed. MR Industrial Accessories LLC supplies this DODGE line to customers throughout the United States and in several Latin American countries.

The part number tells you what you are holding. P2B means a two-bolt pillow block. SCEZ is the insert series, which includes sealing and locking features. The number after it (20M, 25M, 30M, 35M, 40M, 50M) gives the shaft diameter in millimeters. SH indicates set screw locking. So a P2B-SCEZ-20M-SH is a pillow block for a 20 mm shaft with an SCEZ insert and set screws. Reading the code this way helps you match the unit to the job without guesswork.

These housings show up in food processing, chemical plants, cement operations, mining and aggregate handling, among other sectors. Typical equipment includes belt conveyors, bucket elevators, mixers, screens and process lines where a shaft needs support and alignment. The pillow block shape makes mounting onto steel structures or concrete bases easier, and the ball insert tolerates the small misalignments that happen during installation.

When choosing a unit, consider shaft diameter, load type (radial, axial or combined) and the surrounding environment. The SCEZ insert seal keeps out dust and moisture, so it works in tough conditions. At installation, verify that the base is aligned and the set screws are tightened onto the shaft. Proper lubrication and periodic re-tightening help extend service life. If the equipment runs with vibration, check axial and radial clearance.

DODGE mounted bearings can interchange with other brands that use similar designations, such as SKF, FAG or NTN, provided the main dimensions and locking method match. The DODGE SCEZ series features an insert with reinforced sealing and a set screw locking system.
