The DBH 9079 is a radial shaft seal that fits into a housing and seals against a rotating shaft to keep lubricant in and contaminants out. The DBH 9079 is an Lx design oil seal: a single-lip radial seal with an outer metal case and an elastomeric lip, intended for rotating shafts. The Lx configuration includes a spring and is suited to applications where the shaft turns and the housing stays fixed. It is press-fitted into the housing bore and runs directly against the shaft surface.
