The DBH 9047 is a radial shaft seal built for rotating shafts, where it keeps lubricant in and contaminants out. Its Lx configuration uses a single sealing lip with a spring, for lubricated rotating shafts. The elastomeric outer body seats by interference in the housing bore, while the rubber lip rides on the shaft and the spring holds contact pressure. Treat it as a wear item and inspect it at every maintenance interval.

Seals of this size show up in small centrifugal pumps, low-power electric motors, speed reducers, gearboxes, compressors and belt- or chain-driven transmission equipment.
