A lip seal that sits in the housing and rides against the turning shaft, the DBH 8187 keeps lubricant in and keeps dust, water and particles out. Its three reference measurements are 38 mm at the shaft, 52 mm at the housing bore and 7.00 mm of height, and it is built in the Mz design. In the DBH 8187, the 8187 block points to the size and construction type inside the DBH line, while Mz describes how the seal is built: a sealing lip combined with an outer metal body that presses into the housing, leaving the lip in contact with the shaft.
