Description

DBH 8006Vit belongs to radial shaft seal, part of our Seals range. Tell us how many you need by WhatsApp or email and we'll get back to you promptly with a quote for 8006Vit and any equivalents.

The DBH 8006Vit is a radial shaft seal that keeps lubricant where it belongs and keeps dust, water and particles out of the spot where a shaft turns inside a housing. It sits press-fitted in the bore and its lip rides against the shaft, so the height has to suit the cavity depth. Because the lip is a wear item, a hardened or shaft-marking seal should be swapped out before oil loss reaches the bearing.

The three values to check on this seal are shaft 35 mm, housing 50 mm and height 10 mm. Its Mx-R H design is a lip seal with a metal case and a sealing lip, built to hold lubricant on one side and shut out contaminants on the exposed side. Reading it as a set: the inner diameter matches the shaft, the outer diameter matches the bore and the height must suit the seat depth.

You will find this type of seal in gearboxes, pumps, electric motors, transmission shafts, rollers and process equipment where a rotating shaft needs its lubricant contained. Agricultural machinery, conveyors and plant equipment exposed to dust or moisture are also common homes for it. The job is always the same: keep the lubricated side separate from the dirty side and protect the bearing or bushing behind the seal.

Before fitting, confirm the shaft is free of burrs, grooves and wear in the lip contact zone, and that the bore is clean and undistorted. Put a film of lubricant on the lip, then drive the seal in square using a tube or spacer that presses on the outer face rather than the lip. If the shaft already shows a pronounced wear track, a seal positioned so its lip runs on fresh surface is worth considering.

For a cross-reference, give us the 8006Vit code or the three measurements taken from the old seal: shaft, bore and height. We check the DBH line and the other brands we supply for a match and confirm it with you before quoting. Photos of the housing or the assembly drawing also help us review the seat condition.

MR Industrial Accessories supplies the DBH line and can help you pick the right radial shaft seal for the application. Send the code on WhatsApp or by email and the team will come back with the quote and the confirmed size.

Frequently asked questions

What size is the DBH 8006Vit radial shaft seal?
It measures 35 mm at the shaft, 50 mm at the housing and 10 mm in height, with Mx-R H design. Compare those three figures against the seal you are replacing before you order.
Will the 8006Vit fit where my current seal sits?
Check the shaft at the lip contact point, the bore where the seal is pressed in and the cavity depth. Matching 35, 50 and 10 mm means the 8006Vit works. If any figure is different, send us your measurements and we will look at alternatives.
What should I watch for during installation?
Keep the shaft clean and free of burrs or deep wear marks, and make sure the bore is not distorted. Lubricate the lip, drive the seal in square with a tube bearing on the outer face and do not strike the lip. A scored shaft can prevent a proper seal.
