The DBH 1265Pol is a radial shaft seal designed to keep lubricant in and contaminants out where a rotating shaft passes through a housing. Its A 109-Bidi lip geometry seals in both directions of rotation, so it fits equipment that runs one way as well as reversing shafts. Gearboxes, pumps, electric motors and power transmission assemblies are common homes for this seal.

The code breaks down as follows: shaft 45 mm, housing 65 mm, height 9.00/13.00 mm, with the A 109-Bidi lip arrangement. The dual height reflects a profile that seats firmly in the machined bore. Two lips work together: one retains oil or grease, the other blocks dust, water and particles from the outside.

You will find this seal in gear reducers, centrifugal pumps, electric motors, conveyor rollers and belt or chain drive systems. In each case it provides dynamic sealing between shaft and housing, protecting bearings and gears from lubricant loss and from external contamination that shortens service life.

Before installation, confirm that shaft and housing dimensions match the values above, that the shaft surface is smooth and free of burrs, and that the housing bore has a proper lead-in chamfer. Apply lubricant to the lip, then press the seal in with a tool that contacts only the outer edge, never the lip. If the shaft is worn, a repair sleeve may be the better route.
