Description

DBH 1160 belongs to radial shaft seal, part of our Seals range. Tell us how many you need by WhatsApp or email and we'll get back to you promptly with a quote for 1160 and any equivalents.

The DBH 1160 oil seal is a radial shaft seal built to the A 378 design. It fits a housing bore of 26.00 mm and a height of 6.50 mm, and its job is to hold lubricant in and keep dust, water and particles out while the shaft turns against it. Because it is a wear part, it is normally replaced on schedule in gearboxes, motors and other rotating equipment.

The seal is identified by the code 1160 and belongs to the DBH line that MR supplies. On the product page the housing bore (D) is listed at 26.00 mm, the height (h) at 6.50 mm and the design at A 378. The shaft diameter (d) shows as 0 mm, which means it has to be confirmed against the drawing or the original part before you order.

Seals in this category show up in gearboxes, pumps, electric motors, transmission shafts and process equipment where oil or grease has to stay contained. You will also find them in agricultural machinery, conveyors and industrial tools. What decides whether a seal sits correctly is the housing bore and height together: if they do not match the seat, the seal either distorts or sits loose.

When you select a replacement, check three things: shaft diameter, housing bore diameter and depth, and the fluid being retained. The A 378 designation tells you the lip profile and the spring. At installation, clean the seat, lubricate the lip and press the seal in squarely. A seal that goes in crooked will not hold, even when the measurements are right.

If you need an equivalent, send the code 1160 along with the shaft, housing bore and height measurements. With that information we can search for a compatible option in the DBH line or among the other brands we carry. A photo of the old part and the housing also helps confirm the design.

MR Industrial Accessories supports workshops and plants with bearings, power transmission components, seals and mounting tools. To request a quote for this seal or ask about another size, message us on WhatsApp with the code DBH 1160 and we will get back to you with the details.

Frequently asked questions

What are the dimensions of the DBH 1160 oil seal?
The product page lists a housing bore (D) of 26.00 mm, a height (h) of 6.50 mm and the A 378 design. The shaft diameter is shown as 0 mm, so confirm it against the drawing or the part before requesting a quote.
How do I ask for an equivalent size?
Send us the code 1160 on WhatsApp along with the shaft, housing bore and height measurements. We use that to find a compatible alternative in the DBH line or from other brands we carry.
What should I watch for during installation?
Clean the seat, lubricate the lip before inserting the seal and press it in evenly so it goes in straight. Do not strike it on edge, and make sure the spring faces the fluid being retained.
