The Dayco 5120873 is an automotive multi-rib serpentine belt with 12 ribs, a width of 42.16 mm and an effective length of 2216.15 mm. It is also listed under the alias 12PK2215. Serpentine belts of this type drive multiple accessories from a single path on the front of the engine, so confirming the rib count and effective length is the first step in matching the belt to the drive.

To confirm fit, read the marking on the back of the belt you are replacing and compare the rib count and length against the Dayco 5120873. The belt has 12 ribs and an effective length of 2216.15 mm; the width is 42.16 mm. If the marking is worn away, count the ribs on the pulleys and measure the old belt along its effective length before ordering.

This belt is a multi-rib, also called a serpentine or Poly-V belt. It is sized by rib count and effective length rather than by a single width or outside diameter. When the old belt is removed, inspect the pulleys and tensioner for wear or misalignment, since a damaged pulley can shorten the life of a new belt. If the drive uses more than one belt, replace them as a set.
