Description
DAYCO 5040550 belongs to poly-V belt, part of our Power transmission range. Tell us how many you need by WhatsApp or email and we'll get back to you promptly with a quote for 5040550 and any equivalents.
The Dayco 5040550 is a 4-rib serpentine belt with a 1397 mm effective length and 13.72 mm width. Before you fit it, inspect the drive and the sheaves it runs on. A worn pulley or misaligned accessory will shorten the life of any new belt.
Run a straightedge across each sheave face and check for grooves worn into the ribs, nicks on the flanks, and any build-up of debris. Spin each accessory pulley by hand and listen for bearing noise or roughness. Confirm the tensioner moves freely through its full travel and that its pulley spins without drag.
Compare the old belt against the Dayco 5040550: 4 ribs, 1397 mm effective length, 13.72 mm width. If the old belt is stretched, glazed or missing ribs, the drive itself may be the cause. Correct any misalignment or seized component before installing the new belt.
