The BGL H…X adapter sleeve mounts a tapered bore bearing on a plain shaft without a shoulder or step. Each unit ships complete with the sleeve, lock nut and lock washer or MS lock. Standard material is BGL nodular cast iron, above DIN 1563 GJS 500-7; carbon steel or stainless steel are available as options. It is the practical choice when the shaft has no shoulder and the bearing must be held securely yet remain removable.

Reading the code: the digits after the H carry the size. In H2344X, H2348X, H2352X and H2356X, the 23 is the bearing series and the last two digits times 5 give the bore: 220, 240, 260 and 280 mm. The same pattern applies to H3044X, H3048X, H3052X and H3144X in series 30 and 31. The X suffix means the lock nut and lock washer are included. Selection starts with shaft diameter and tolerance; an h10 fit is the recommended maximum to avoid deformation. Confirm the bearing has a tapered bore and that the lock nut and lock washer match the size. At mounting, lubricate the threads and the tapered surface, then tighten the lock nut with the correct wrench until the internal clearance recommended by the bearing manufacturer is reached. Shaft alignment and sealing afterward help keep contamination out.
